4E shoe much narrower that previous 4Es

unfortunately, asics appear to be running more narrow than before...i had 4 previous pair if Cumulus and they fit perfectly. this shoe is a bit more narrow even though it's the same size. if you're like me and have been purchasing asics specifically for their wide width accommodation, you may need to return these.

Superior support and style

I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital emergency department and love the support of the duo max soles on this shoe. My feet don't hurt and they look incredibly awesome. These shoes are probably heavier than all the new lightweight running shoes on the market but those lightweight shoes hurt my feet so I love the firmer more supportive GT-1000. The inserts come out to allow you to put orthotics in and it is just perfect. They are also great for running and cross training. Well worth the money and the highlighter yellow color stands out above all the rest. Fantastic shoe. Way to go Asics.

Have worn ASICS for many years and have always been satisfied with the fit and support it provides.Have worn the GT-1000 for a little over a week now and they feel great. ASICS has always been true to fit and continued to be with the GT-1000. I wear orthotics in my shoes and have been wearing the GT-1000 without the orthotics and they provide good support and cushion. PS: The picture on Amazon of the royal blue style is incorrect. The shoes are not purple-ish as it shows here but blue. Look up the picture of the shoes on ASICS website.
