Theres something different about Treksta shoes. The breathable mesh upper flexes easily with no pressure points and the Gore-Tex membrane helps keep your feet dry when you go splashing down the trail on a winter run. The removable insole is made with three different densities of foam for the perfect support and cushion right where you want it and the IceLock/HyperGrip sole has micro-glass filaments built vertically into the rubber for slip-stopping grip. While most other shoes are built on a traditional last that has the vague shape of a foot, Treksta used over 20,000 computer scans of real feet to come up with the perfect last that actually has the shape and detail of a human foot with toes, ankle bones and all. They call it the NestFIT system and its part of the reason why these shoes feel so customized. missed expectations, but could be getting better

Wasn't sure at first if this shoe was meant for barefeet or socks. First test walk - no socks. I ended up walking home barefoot as they rubbed the heel out of my hell.2nd walk, socks engaged. Still felt a bit weird but got better as I went. I don't know, I expect expensive shoes to be cloud-like. I'll give them one more try and if they still aren't as good as my old New Balances I'll send them back.

EPIC KICKS

I got these because I am in Law Enforcement and am now in the training process for high risk security, I needed something stable, athletic, water resistant, and comfortable. These shoes are awesome if you want to know what these shoes are like it feels like a pair of New Balance mated with a pair of Sanuk sidewalk surfers. You get that planted to the ground comfortable, balanced feel that you receive from the Sanuk's with the added ability for your toes to sprawl out while walking the way God intended a foot to work... You also get the shock absorbing performance of a pair of New Balance running shoes with a robust yet light weight upper. The gore tex makes for dry feet all day long and when you take them off your feet feel fresh. In all honesty I do not believe I will ever buy anything other that Treksta's in my future training endeavors.

Purchased for an upcoming backpacking trip. Started breaking them in and they are fantastic. They seemed a bit snug a first, but they are very comfortable and I think once I wear them for a bit they'll be alright. I wear a size 11 and bought a size 11 and I thought I was going to have to get the next size up-that's how snug they were. I'm going on a week long trip on the AT so I'm excited to see how they do.
