I like them

I wear a 12M in most brands, and I read these run a bit small and ordered 12 1/2. Well, they were just a bit too short so I sent them back (thanks, Amazon Prime!) and ordered size 13. These fit me perfectly with just a bit of room between my big toe and the end of the shoe. I'm keeping these!The shoes are cool and feel good on my feet. I use them as brisk walking shoes and they seem very supportive yet flexible. I'm 59 and I'm done buying cheap shoes that hurt my feet and make my knees and shins hurt. My feeling about these is I paid for quality engineering and materials as opposed to marketing and glitz.

These shoes ara very comfortable for walking. For running it seems the sole is a little not so flexible so they remind me tracking running shoes. For tennis they are very good too, fit well.

ASICS Gel-Kayano 19 - The Legacy Continues

I used to be an avid Gel-Kayano user, but for some reason I strayed from the path. For the past few years I have used other brand named running shoes. I needed a new pair of shoes and realized that I should get the latest pair of the Gel-Kayanos, the 19.After getting these shoes, I realized something. I am an idiot for leaving these shoes.Putting them on for the first time, I thought that they would be too firm. But once I started my run, all insecurities were gone. There is a reason that this is the 19th version of this shoe, it's fantastic.The ride is great, the look is eye catching (lime green trim!) I'm a larger runner, and the feel and support of this shoe is great. I will never stray from the Gel-Kayano again!Update: 12/11/2012Just bought my second pair...can't get enough of this shoe.

Is There A Reason To Buy Any Other Shoe...

I don't think there's a reason to look anywhere else. At 5'11" and 185lbs, this shoe gives me the perfect amount of structure without being too cushioned (like the Nimbus). The shoe is incredibly comfortable and light and IMO gives a great ride that lets me feel what I'm running on, which as a quiet runner is perfect. I've been running in Kayanos for years and the only thing I'm guilty of is pushing the upper limit of miles before getting a new pair but these things just wear so well for you that you don't want to give them up. I wouldn't run in anything else but Asics and you get what you pay for so why not invest in a great pair of shoes for your body. As a foot note, I've got the Black/Lightning/Blue color and they look damn sharp offering some flavor without sticking out like a safety cone :)

Inspire 9 Review

I've been running in the inspires since the 4's, and this is definitely my favorite pair so far since the 6's. I ran through 6 different pairs of inspire 6's and for nostalgia purposes I dont think I'll ever run in a better pair of shoes than the inspire 6's. I was really worried after the 7's that Mizuno wouldnt be following the same strategy they had followed producing the past shoes. the 7's were horrible, no stability, high tops and the toe box was all out of wack and gave the worst blisters. the 8's made a huge improvement and I think mizuno realized it because the inspire 9's are very similar to the 8's. right now Im alternating between a pair of 8's and the new pair of 9's and the few differences I can tell are the height of the shoe, the 9's are much shorter, they give great flexibility around the ankle area with no rubbing. the stability is still very good, I love the stability these still offer with a little bit of over pronation that I have. The 9's are also much lighter than any other pair of inspires I think theyve ever made. They are noticably lighter than the 8's.The two cons I have for these shoes are the material and how thin it is and how low the shoe is. The material does allow alot of air through and snow which sucks right now in the winter, but Im sure when the summer rolls around I'll be happy that its so breathable. Also the height of the shoe can be a little annoying, when its that low stuff getting stuck in your shoe happens alot more often then I would like. Both of these cons are what make the shoes so light so I guess you cant have everything.I only have about 80 miles on these shoes right now so i'll try to update this once I reach the end of the shoes life.

Mizuno Wave 9 Review

This is the second set of Mizuno's I have had in my life, and I have been running for 38 years now. These shoes feel like the Nike's and Addidas that I used to run in during the 1970's and 80's, which is a very good thing. They have just the right amount of support and cushion which permits a nice run with the ability for speed if desired. I still need to replace them about every Three to Four months, but that is due to the cushion ability being decreased as the shoes are still in top shape physically. For the true runner, you will totally appreciate these shoes.

These shoes are amazing! I am 38 years old and i weigh 200 pounds. I run about 30,miles a week. Over the last year my right foot has been giving me problems. Ive tried just about every shoe within the last year. I have had extensive use of the Brooks Glycerin 9, Nike Zoom Vomero 6, Saucony Triumph 8 and 9, and even the Asics Gel Kinsei 4. Bar none, the Asics Gel Cirrus33 is the most amazing shoe. In addition to being a super plush ride, these shoes are surprisingly lightweight. Dont be surprised if you find youself adding distance to your run in these shoes.

Comfortable, but poorly made

I had high expectations for this shoe, and it initially lived up to them. The shoes fit well, seemed well-made, looked good, and most importantly felt good running. Unfortunately, both uppers now have three tears (holes) near the seams in the toe box area. I knew the shoes weren't going to last as long as a regular training shoe, but I expected the sole to wear out first. Well, the soles are still in good shape, but the holes in the uppers are rapidly expanding. If the shoe sold for $70, I would not be too unhappy, but these are $140 shoes. Asics dropped the ball on this shoe in terms of quality.

Pay more for less?

Worn ASICS for a long time, mostly 21xx series over the past few years. This shoe is way softer, not much arch, big toe box and overall cheaper quality. I have messed with the laces but have not yet found a good snug fit. Not impressed, but I am happy that it is super soft for giving the legs a break over the off season.

So far so good, no problems after about a week of running in them, & their lighter than i expected them to be. Just needed a running shoe that I could rotate between pavement & gravel road/trail with & this on seems to fit the bill.

For Trail Use Only

Really well made shoes. Nice, sturdy feel and won't allow you to pronate too much. The name implies that they are for road and trail running, but the soles wear out very quickly on asphalt, so if you don't mind using shoe goo on waffled soles no problem. If you do, you better reserve them for trail or soft track running only. Also, they run about a half size or a little more small.
