Inov 8 Road-X 255 Running Shoe - Men's Silver/Yellow, 11.5
Product Description
You want to get into a minimalist running shoe, but you'd rather make a smart, slow transition instead of just dashing outside barefoot. The Inov 8 Road-X 255 Running Shoe has a 9mm difference from heel to toe which offers a smooth transition into the minimalist running world. Basically, this means you can gradually go from striking with your heel (which you do on the raised heel of non-minimalist shoes) to striking with your forefoot. Cushioning underfoot supports both racing and everyday training, and the sticky rubber outsole handles slippery terrain.Product Features

Inov-8 doesn't disappoint but beware of sizing
By Chris
I have a pair of F-Lite 195's and Road-X 233's, so the Inov-8 brand, quality, construction and feel are nothing new to me.The Road-X 255 do not disappoint and provide a firm, responsive ride with just a touch more cushion than the 233's. They also have a slightly higher heel-toe drop, and I use them in my rotation of running shoes for slightly longer runs, or when I don't want the full minimalist experience.I wear a 9.5 M (US) in both the 195 and 233, however I find that the Road-X 255 feels a bit tight around the upper in this size. I can alleviate the pressure with an alternate lacing pattern, however I also purchased the Road-X 255 in size 10, and they are completely a better fit. This shoe is fantastic for the runner looking to make a transition into minimalist running without going overboard, or too extreme too soon. It's also ideal for minimalist runners who occasionally want a touch more cushion without returning to a bulky shoe with a tremendous toe-heel drop.

Great road shoes
By T
Bought these for those times where I just want to give my feet a little break from my typical minimalist shoes. These still have a low drop to them, but have a little more cushioning for longer runs. These shoes arrived as expected and are absolutely amazing. Great stability where you want it yet nice and flexible at the same time. Just right.
