5Comfortable like slippers! Goodbye Asics...
By C. Fox
My old ASICS GEL-DS Trainer 15 were killing my feet, My Vibrams(KSO) were tearing up my toes on the hot pavement. It's nearly peak running season and my trusty tools are failing me. I've had it with $110 dollar shoes not performing and seeing how shoe technology is currently being turned on its head about what is actually good for you, I decided to go try on and buy some cheap running shoes. I honestly have never heard of Avia before today, but I think they may have a new life long customer. These shoes fit like a glove and the inside material is so soft and they breathe extremely well(probably not a good winter shoe, but we'll see if they last that long). I had one initial concern when I tried them on. There was a tiny bit of arch support and I am personally going for no stability control(minimalist running). All I want is a little padding and a shoe to keep my heel from cracking/blistering(still have a little heel strike, especially when running slow). I want the Nike free without the price, and this fits the bill. These shoes are so inexpensive! You should pick one up just to try it. In the next 3 weeks, I'll have logged more than a 100 miles in them, I'll be sure to update this review if I discover anything unsavory or praiseworthy. But as of right now. I love these shoes and highly recommend them.

5I LOVE this shoe, just stunned it came from Avia ...
By New Willie Fan
I'm a fairly regular runner; nothing heavy, typically 5 to 10K. I've always gone with New Balance or Asics. My last pair of Asics were causing some problems in my knees. I saw these on the shelf at the local chain store and tried them on. Instantly there was actual relief in my knees, and I couldn't believe how light these things were. I looked at the price and figured I had nothing to lose. Well, here I am 5 months later and a bunch of road miles; searching for another pair (or two) due to normal wear. I love these things! They breath beautifully, and grip like spiderman. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that it is certainly a road shoe. When I've run down wooded trails, I feel every rock and stick I step on; making it fairly uncomfortable. Give this shoe a shot, I don't think you'll be dissapointed :)

4Comfy and light - can wear all day.
By TeeJay
These shoes are amazingly comfortable to wear. My feet feel just right in these shoes, not too tight, not too loose, just the right amount of support & snuggy-ness. And they are very very light (compared to my Asics), infact they feel lighter than my flip-flops.But there is a reason they are so light, the upper part is basically just a mesh between thin plastic ribs. Yes, that makes them very breathable, but it also means it is not a shoe that you can wear in rain or cold. My feet nearly froze when I wore them for an outing, I had to rush back home and change my shoes. Also, the light weight construction raises questions on its durability. I don't think they will last long. But at this price even if they last 5-6 months, then you got your money's worth.
