Not much has changed

I have the Saucony TR2's and have put 100's if not 1000's of miles on them in about 2 years. Soles are wearing now, finally, but still a great shoe nonetheless. Well I finally bit the bullet and looked for some new shoes and saw these TR6's. I guess I missed 3 models but these are pretty much the same as my TR2's. This is a good thing... if you find a shoe that works I recommend you stick with it. Fortunately these seem to be about the same quality and comfort, so far so good. The only thing that bothers me is that the TR2's came with great round laces that stretch a little bit, and these come with the newer designed laces that aren't that flexible, but no big deal. If everything works out, they should last another 2 years of every day wear and running 6-12 miles per week. My favorite shoe company!As a side note, if you're ordering these without trying them on first, I would try a half size larger than normal as all of my Saucony shoes usually run a bit small. Hope you're happy with them.

NOT recommended; TR6 Sauconys: quality has degraded!

Very disappointed with the TR6 from Saucony; I have been wearing Saucony for 25+ years and this pair has been the worst. The tongue will not stay in place and the black tread sole is separating from the cushion part of the sole. When compared to the TR3 Excursion, the TR6 casts a faint shadow. I wear the Excursions for trail running and have been doing so for many years; the older (TR3) versions provided excellent support and lasted two full seasons or about two years--the TR6 would not hookup on the trails and has become unreliable for trail running. Within a mile or two, the tongue slips to one side or the other and my feet felt unsupported. Would not recommend for running or trail running; look for TR3 through 5. My TR6s have become a casual-around work walking shoe; would rate them for walking at 3 stars.

I replaced a 2 year old pair of Saucony TR2 with these. At the same size, they fit just as well as the older pair. Very comfortable while running, working out or just for daily use, with little break-in time needed. Compared to other brands, they seem to fit about a half-size lower.. that is, if in doubt, I would err on the side of choosing a smaller size.UPDATE: After 7 months, the bottom of the heel part of the shoes is starting to "peel" in the layer between the colors. I wear them regularly and when running, but not every day. The TR2s, which I still have - didn't do that even after 2 years. These, the TR6s still fit perfectly, are comfortable and look good, but they are wearing faster than the older model.
