Asics Gel -1160 not durable
By JMP1985
I wore a pair of Asics Gel 1160's for 2 months and the mesh part near the toes ripped completely in half. The shoes look like they were chewed by an animal of some sort but have only experienced moderate use. I have wore asics before for trail running, distance, mud races ect and have never had a problem like with this particular pair/model of shoe. I e-mailed the Company offering them a chance to rectify the situation with no response. I would avoid these shoes as they are not extremely durable.

Every Foot is Different
By Andrew26.2
I started with the 1150's a few years ago and they were sold out when I went to get a new pair so I went to the 1160's. I have been very happy with them running 20-30 miles a week and I wore them in the NYC Marathon. I am currently looking to buy my 4th pair of them. I love them but every foot is different. If you are a runner you should consider going to a running shop before switching shoes.
