Runs small!

I noticed that the average reviews for the second generation SyncroFuel are lower on average than the previous gen. I think i know why. The previous syncrofuel; my all time favorite shoe of which I wore out 3 pair, ran a little small so I wore a half-size bigger. I received these today and to my dismay, they feel a full half-size smaller than the previous generation. There is noticeably less room in the toe. I think I will still end up in a pair of pearls, but now I need to try on a pair of 12's to see if they fit.

Great Shoe, but Wore Down Quickly

I was very please by the weight and cushioning of this shoe, but the heels wore down very quickly. I do about 3 miles a day 5 days a week and after 4 months I had to replace them because the heels had become so worn. While they last, however, they were great.

Great for the price

I have owned many pairs of this shoe, or the past version, and have been very happy with the model and company. These are very lightweight yet still provide some stability when I run. I typically run 20-25 miles per week and am 5'8 165 lbs. I would keep buying these as long as they keep the model similar to this version. Another great part about these shoes is the fact that the upper is seamless and never rides up on my ankles - a big plus.

Salomon XA Pro Shoes

I wear size 14 shoes and have a narrow foot according to the measuring device I have found in local shoe stores.It is nearly impossible to find size 14 narrow shoes in brick and mortar shoe stores. I have found size 14 shoes but most are wide dress type shoes of a style that I would not want to wear to any place other than a used car salesman convention or maybe the lounge at the local Holiday Inn.Because of my size requirements, I am forced to shop online for shoes.I walk a lot and have a fairly large heavy frame (not fat only large) so shoes do not last long enough to justify paying in the neighborhood of $100.00 per pair. I tend to look at overstocks and on sale shoes.Sometimes, I get lucky and the shoes I buy online fit. Other times, they are too, wide, have built in hotspots or are too short. With a size 14 foot, it is difficult to order the next size up if a shoe is too short because size 15 shoes are not normally available.A few years ago, I bought a pair of overstock Salomon trail shoes from Sierra Trading Post. These shoes did not cramp my toes if I laced them correctly and provided fair traction on hilly dirt paths that I tend to walk on. They lasted for a couple of years before the sole came loose on one of the shoes. Since then, I have not been able to find similar overstock shoes by Salomon in my size.When I found the Salomon shoes on Amazon in my size, I was tempted but paying full price was a foreign concept for me. I thought about for a while and decided to bite the bullet and get what might be a good pair of shoes.The shoes were available in a semi-subdued green/black sort of color combination. It is hard to find overstock shoes that are not “extreme” with garish colors. I’m not a kid on the corner who is looking to show off his new kicks but just some guy looking for a good pair of shoes. The quieter color combination was more incentive to pay full price.The shoes arrived overnight even though I have two day shipping with Amazon Prime.I put them on and felt nothing. They were not heavy and were not tight or loose. My toes did not touch the ends of the shoes and there were no hot spots. This was a very strange sensation for me. Not wanting them to get dirty so that I could return them if needed, I tried them on the stairs in my house and across the floor many times looking for problems – nothing other than a presence on my foot that is not there when I am barefoot.I was skeptical of the narrow laces with no provision to tie a knot but found that the lace clamping device provided quick adjustment and remained secure. The loop on the laces is long but the shoes have a pocket provided at the top of the tongue to tuck the laces away after adjustment.My normal routine it to walk to the gym (about 2 miles one way), work out and then walk back home. I put the expensive shoes on and went out into the world. No hotspots other than what seemed to be a wrinkle on the bottom of one of my socks.My route takes me across the Allegheny River on a three span bridge. In late winter the sidewalks on the bridge are covered with traction materials in the form of small stones. My pace is brisk and I do not cinch my shoe laces up tight when walking on level ground so it is normal for some of these small stones to get into my shoes causing me to stop in the park at the end of the bridge to remove the stones. No stones with the Salomon shoes even with relaxed lacing– strange I thought but not bad.Along the way to and from the gym, I was watchful for problems but found nothing. The heel rebound was firm but not the harsh hardness of other out of the box shoes I have tried. The collar did not rub or chafe my ankle or Achilles tendon.The only issue I found was that driving in these shoes is a problem. I usually work the accelerator with my toe and not my entire foot – better control that way. While driving, I noticed a sharp pain across the top of the tendon of the large toe of my right foot. After examination, I found that the dead-end for the laces is placed so that the lace crosses the tendon of the large toe causing pressure when that toe is flexed as in driving. Maybe this problem will be reduced if the laces are loosened when driving or maybe they are not to be used as driving shoes. The location of the dead-end looks to be a styling choice so maybe Salomon needs to adjust the location of the dead-end for comfort at the expense of style. If the problem gets too serious, I’ll move the lace to a more conventional location myself.In all, I am satisfied even with paying full price.

They where stiff for the first day, but after that each day they seem to fit better and better!!! They feel amazing now!!! Great shoe so far!!!

Awesome shoes, not going back to Vibram

I've worn Vibram Five Fingers for 4 years but with my large foot size I finally got tired of the limited selection that was available to me. I bought a pair of Adipures and couldn't be happier. They're more rugged/durable compared to the VFFs and one of my favorite features is the lack of velcro strap that my VFFs had. The Adipures quickly go on/off but they're very secure while wearing them. I use mine for everything: weightlifting, running, walking around all day, etc. While I enjoyed my VFFs I see no reason why I'll go back to them now that the Adipures are available.

bitchin adipure trainer shoes

first time it came out in the market i had doubts over this design. (previously burnt on the sketchers shape-up which the jury is still out, after all these months). got this as a birthday present last month and shockingly found it wears like a real pair of shoe without the bulk and the weight. it fits perfectly, snugged all over your toes and great for work-out, especially doing the squats as it keeps you well balanced. from what I gathered around the gym with few guys who wear same design, Adidad kinda blew the competition, e.i, improved it a lot as it has become more wearable, real comfy. now the pair of socks that go with it is kinda costly ($10/pair. this is where they get you). but hey you could wash it every week. no need for socks. we're all good. thx Adidas for another well-designed & executed product!

Perfect for group fitness

I purchased these after wearing out my Fila Skele-Toes 1.0. I use these shoes to teach Zumba® Fitness, and absolutely love them. Before I changed over to the barefoot style shoes, I would have knee and foot problems. Since I've changed over, I no longer have foot/knee problems what so ever. My classes incorporate a lot of dance movements, squats, jumping, and direction change. They are extremely comfortable and I would definitely recommend trying a pair. I'll never go back to teaching a group fitness class in "normal" shoes again.

Good shoes for xc

I got these for my son he likes them. He said they were really comfortable and helped him when running his cross country races. He used them on grass, rock, and sand. They gave him the traction he needed and even prevented him from slipping at one point. Would recommend to others and would buy again.

XC Shoe

We bought a pair for our son in Cross Country. He loves them, especially light weight and good traction. Spikes provided aren't terribly long, shoe is a little snug for size and shoe laces are a little short. Hopefully they still fit in spring for Track. I imagine we will be buying another pair next summer. He only uses them for meets, so we can't speak to durability.
