Similar to the excellent Realflex

I have the Realflex and saw the video on the Smoothflex so decided to get it. It is quite a bit cheaper than the Realflex. Construction quality is similar. The differences lie in the sole. It is a firmer foam that is used. It also has less nodes and a more wider bottom. Definitely flexibility of the sole is less. There is also more rubber lining the foam at the very toe, slightly less in the forefoot and about the same in the heel. I find that in the Realflex, areas without rubber wears much faster. I would guess that the sole on the Smoothflex would be a little more durable. You definitely lose a little performance with the shoe because of the added weight and diminished flex in the sole but this is still an excellent shoe and great for casual jogging or training. I will say that the Realflex/Smoothflex line are my favorite running shoes that I have ever owned in my life!

Good and comfy shoe

Good quality shoe almost 3 weeks of daily use the sole got worn off pretty soon than expected however i believe lot of life still there for prolonged use. Due to mesh fabric feet is always dry. Would recommend if use on treadmill, for outdoor use expect the sole to be worn off pretty fast.

Very fast zero drop shoe.

If you have made the transition to zero drop or are currently running in a low ratio shoe this Mizuno race/trainer is for you.The upper is supremely comfortable. It is just like wearing a sock.My only issue is the lace arrangement but it is a minor quibble.I found them a little on the large side, maybe half a size, that being said I'm still comfortable in these @ a US 9.5 they are 177grams (6.24oz)If you are fairly efficient with a sub 3 pace you will enjoy these.The alternative is the Cursoris although I haven't tried them I would be fairly sure they would have similar qualities.

Best shoe for a heavier runner ,especially if your putting your custom inserts into them . I like the color ,something different in the 7.This shoe is well over $100 at any shoe store. More fore-foot cushioning than the Pegasus .
